Bangkok, June 8, 2021 – Enhancing service measure for Covid-19 as part of domestic and international air travel recovery plan, Thai Vietjet has implemented COVID-19 vaccination to all of the airline’s staffs, especially those at frontline and in operational teams, at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon and the 4th floor of Passenger Terminal (Suvanabhumi Airport), ensuring the health and safety of its employees among the airline's top priority during the pandemic.
This is part of a collaboration between the seven member airlines of the newly formed Thai Airlines Association, which was officially formed in February 2021 with the initial goal of mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 situation and the long-term goal of elevating Thailand's aviation industry. From May 24 to June 4, 2021, all Thai Vietjet staff received COVID-19 vaccines, significantly boosting confidence in domestic and international air travel.
“With fully vaccinated front-line staff, we are confident to offer services with highest level of safety to our passengers, helping them travel with peace of mind. Thai Vietjet's focus during this period is the safety of front-line staff, who will be serving our valued passengers from the beginning of their flight journey until completed at the destination”, said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, Chairwoman of Thai Vietjet.
In response to the new wave of COVID-19, Thai Vietjet determinedly continues flight services for passengers to travel on all its network as air travel is one of the safest travel alternatives during COVID-19. Named as the fastest growing low-cost airline in Thailand 2020 by The Global Business Outlook Award, the carrier has been strictly performing aircraft disinfection daily throughout its fleet in compliance with Thai Ministry of Public Health.
