Thai Vietjet Diary: Enjoy surf skate in Songkhla!

Hello there SKYFUNNERs! How are you doing?

My name is ‘Pungpond’, a cabin crew at Thai Vietjet. Today, I and ‘First’, my fellow cabin crew, will take you all the way from Bangkok to the south for ‘LongLen Songkhla Beach Jam’ at Songkhla, Thailand.

‘LongLen Songkla Beach Jam’ was hosted by the Hat Yai – Songkhla Hotel Association, in cooperation with private business partners and board sports group of athletes in Songkhla, during 3 – 4 April 2021 onChalatat beach. The event was initiated to promote Songkhla as Sport X MICE City, also the make Songkhla another destination for sports tourism.

I have heard from the event’s host that there were so many kinds of board sport for us to choose at our choices, including surfboarding, surf skating, SUB boarding, skimboarding, and kiteboarding. Today, I am going to try surfboarding, and I will teach First how to surf too!

On this trip, we enjoyed flying with Thai Vietjet flight from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Hat Yai International Airport. It only took 1 hour and 25 minutes to get to our destination. However, I had a very late flight the day before, making me not feeling as energetic as I wished. Thanks to our unique onboard beverage BLACK CANYON Coffee Latte. Only a sip helped me feel more energized and ready for all the challenges. Apart from the premium coffee onboard, we also have special souvenirs for purchase. So next time you are on a Thai Vietjet flight, don’t forget to take home one!

Shortly after taking off, we arrived at Hat Yai International Airport. We, then, drove a rental car for only 40 minutes and we got to our destination: LongLen Songklha Beach Jam on Chalatat beach!

Did I mention that Thai Vietjet was also the main sponsor of the event? We offer free air tickets for the lucky draw campaign at the event. First and I received a great honor to give the prizes to the lucky participants. It was such an exciting and unforgettable experience.

Now it’s time for me to show you all how to surf! The event area has a HUGE surf skating arena for the skaters to perform their best techniques. Not to mention that they closed the whole beachside street and make it a free skating arena.

Since the event was named ‘LongLen’, which means ‘to try', I think it’s time for my friend - First - try surfing. As a beginner, I think she did quite well for the first time. I’d better watch my back!

So, ‘LongLen Songkhla Beach Jam’ is a great event for me. Not only it helped to boost domestic and local tourism, but it marked another form of tourism for Songkla. And that’s all for today. Don’t forget to stay tuned for our next blog. See ya!
